Dear DACIS Subscribers,
Over the weekend you may have noticed that we made a slight change in the export functionality across DACIS. Namely, the
EXPORT button is almost everywhere now… Related Companies? It's there. Related Programs? It's there. Rankings…Budget…Newswires…Go all the way down the "Left Nav" list – It's there! But what about search results? Don't worry - it's still there.
You might be asking…Okay, so did anything else change?
The "Report Generator" tool and "Flagging" of items are gone. Previously on any sort of Search or "Related Links" result page, you were required to
click,
click,
click all of your desired "flags", then
click to save them in "Report Generator" and
click again to view them. At that point, you haven't even managed to export them yet.
Click and
click again. This is no longer the case. You understand why this has been addressed.
How does it work now?
The Export button (found directly above and on the right-hand side of the result set) will now export the full found result set with one click. On Related Links pages (left nav pages), it's worth noting that the export will contain all of the results set in that page, not just the displayed grouping (e.g., "Showing 1-25 of 270" records – this export will dump all 270 line items, not just the 25 on-screen items within "Page 1").
Only want a portion of the full results set?
Simple, just filter & narrow your search criteria to a more accurate or manageable results pool. Similarly, feel free to export "everything" and delete anything you don't want. It's yours to use.
Overall, this is a quick quality of life enhancement aimed to get the data into your hands as quickly and as painlessly as possible. Enjoy!
Best Regards,
Your DACIS Team
